Welcome to WeatherStationsAtHome.co.uk
A home weather station review site listing some of the many smaller stand alone or wireless instruments and sensors available to the amateur meteorologist as well as the more basic types used as just a simple information tool or objet d'art within the home. It's intention is to provide a brief overview of each one without being overly technical.
Oregon Scientific
Probably one of the most well known makers of home weather stations.

BAR808HG
A similar unit to the BAR208 but with the added function of a solar cell to help the batteries last longer (batteries are still required for the unit to function - it cannot run on solar power alone). Currently using one of these myself and so far it seems fairly accurate in predicting the weather over the forthcoming 12 hours.

RMR500ES_PLUS
The same unit as the BAR500ES+ECO but with an additional 2 sensors giving the capacity to monitor temperature and humidity on 4 remote locations all displayed on the main unit. These can be placed in various rooms indoors to provide information allowing precise control over the central heating to save running costs or maybe have one placed in the greenhouse so you can monitor the temperature from your armchair so that the tomato plants don't get damaged. The solar panel on this model charges the internal battery so no mains power required.
